Irfanview

VNC Viewer
VNC stands for Virtual Network Computing. It is, in essence, a remote display system which allows you to view a computing 'desktop' environment not only on the machine where it is running, but from anywhere on the Internet and from a wide variety of machine architectures.

BLAT for Windows
Blat is a Public Domain Windows 95/NT console utility that sends the contents of a file in an e-mail message using the SMTP protocol. Blat is useful for creating scripts where mail has to be sent automatically (CGI, backups, etc.), or just as a quick way to send a file or message quickly from the command line. It will store relevant configuration details in the registry for ease of use. Optionally, blat can also attach multiple binary files to your message.

GNU utilities for Win32
Here are some ports of common GNU utilities to native Win32. In this context, native means the executables do only depend on the Microsoft C-runtime (msvcrt.dll) and not an emulation layer like that provided by Cygwin tools. Remark from bart: This is great stuff!

cURL groks URLs
Curl is a command line tool for transferring files with URL syntax, supporting FTP, FTPS, HTTP, HTTPS, GOPHER, TELNET, DICT, FILE and LDAP. Curl supports HTTPS certificates, HTTP POST, HTTP PUT, FTP uploading, kerberos, HTTP form based upload, proxies, cookies, user+password authentication, file transfer resume, http proxy tunneling and a busload of other useful tricks.

Total Commander
Total Commander (formerly called Windows Commander) is a shareware file manager for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP and Windows 3.1. It has two windows side by side, just like the good old Norton Commander file manager for DOS.
The best file manager for the money, it is great!

Ultraedit
Text/Hex editor, unlimited file size. Column edit with column fill,cut,delete, insert squential number. HEX editing with cut/copy/paste. Macros, bookmarks, find/replace, word-wrap, fixup CR/LF.  Autorun solutions (free software)


ShelExec
Places where you might find ShelExec useful are in adding an Autorun.inf file to your CD-R / CD-RW Discs. For example suppose you have a HTML page called index.htm on the root of your CD which you would like to run automatically whenever the user inserts the CD.

Custom CD Menu
Custom CD Menu is a little application that gives you the opportunity to create a menu for CDs you create yourself. In fact you only need to create a text file that mentions the title, path on CD, picture and some other extra's per program / game you place on the CD. If you add the program, a self created text file and optionally an autorun.inf file to the CD, the menu will pop up the minute you insert the CD in a CD-ROM drive.
